Spiderman at the Arboretum

Yesterday, Aidan and I went to the Arboretum with our friends Susan and Mia. It was Mommy and Me Monday so they had a petting zoo, music, crafts, and face painting set up for kids 5 and under. Aidan kept talking about pumpkins and animals. He was so excited to go to the petting zoo!
While there, we kept seeing little boys with Spiderman painted on their faces. Aidan was intrigued by this and asked me to put Spiderman on his face. We obliged, and stood in the face painting line for an hour. Yes, an hour. And Aidan was the most patient I have ever seen him. He was incredibly pleased with himself.

We took a picnic lunch and played in the pumpkins. After the Mommy and Me time, Susan and I put the kids in their strollers and walked through all the flowers. Both Mia and Aidan passed out while we were walking and took a nice nap in their strollers. Of course, that meant Aidan did not nap when we got home. Oh well, it gave us the opportunity to visit with cousins Luke and Greyson since they arrived late Sunday night.
