In 1988 former President Ronald Reagan proclaimed October as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness month. October 15th was later declared as National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Day. It is the day millions who grieve come together by lighting candles at 7pm in every time zone of the world to create a Wave of Light in an act of remembrance.
In memory of my beloved Levi.
"A wife
who loses a husband is called a widow.
A husband who
loses a wife is called a widower.
A child who loses his parents is called an
orphan.
There is no word for a parent who loses a child.
That’s how awful
the loss is."
- Ronald Reagan
