Today

Aidan experienced his very first VBS today. Our church's VBS is really only for children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade, however, since I'm helping out this year, Aidan gets to participate in the preschool class for the worker's children. Preschool is the yellow group. He did not want his picture taken here if you can't tell by that expression on his face.
He was so excited to finally be in the car and leaving. He loves church.
Here he is watching the singing and dancing. Aidan is in the oldest preschool class, so he gets to go to the auditorium with the grade school kids at the beginning and end of each day. He noticed me off to the side taking his picture.

So then he decided to do a little posing for the camera. :)
I was so proud of my little guy. We had to leave VBS a bit early today to head to the dentist because one of the crowns put on his tooth 3 weeks ago has already fallen off, so on the way to the dentist I asked him what he learned today. He said, "God's Word is true." That's the Bible point that all the kids were supposed to pick up on today and he did! We worked on his Bible story and Bible verse when we got home, so we'll see if he can remember it all tomorrow and earn his stickers. He also told me that he made a craft and ate a snack consisting of cheerios, marshmallows, and candy. Those are the important things in life to a 3 year old. :)
As a treat for being brave at the dentist office (and because Mommy never got around to her wife/mom duty of making dinner tonight), we decided to take Aidan to McDonald's for dinner. Aidan spends a lot of time in just his undies, especially after nap time since he likes to strip down to go to sleep, so I told him he had to go get dressed in order to go eat.
A few seconds later, he came back like this and declared he was ready to go to McDonald's. I got a good laugh from this one.

He makes life so fun!
