Ant Farm

Aidan has enjoyed watching his ant farm develop. For the first few days, he would check it every morning and night to see if the ants had dug new tunnels. And for the first few days, they didn't disappoint. They worked hard to get those tunnels built quickly! Aidan still loves to show off his ant farm to new people who come into our home, but since the ants have pretty much stopped digging, he doesn't check it as often.
The kit came with a magnifying glass and Aidan got alot of use out of it!

Day 1 - Solid blue gel before the ants had dug any tunnels.

The front side of the ant farm once tunnels had been dug.

 The back side.

One happy, bug-loving, little boy :)

Once all the ants die, we'll wash out all the ants and excess gel from the top. You can then buy an LED light that fits onto the bottom and the farm becomes a nightlight. You can also put new ants in the same farm, but they may not dig as much since tunnels are already present.

I hate ants, but this is SO COOL! I've never seen a see-through version before.
